Very odd DVDRW drive problem...

Hi,

I've a DVDDual DVD writer, worked perfectly and then I put it in my new machine (DFI LANParty, Athlon 64 3200+) and it reads DVDs perfectly, but Windows only calls it a CD Drive, and it won't pick up blank DVDs. Reads, not writes DVDs. Help lol! Updated firmware etc.

Windows will not always identify blank media, nor will it always identify a drive properly...when i put a regular CD into my DVD burner Windows ID's that drive as a CDRom. This is common.
Your burning software however should have the capacity to identify blank media properly.
What burner software are you using? ?
