Well my sister's laptop has been functioning very slow and everything doesn't run smoothly as it used to for her. Although she said she deleted about 4GB of junk with CCleaner and other programs but it still seems as slow as ever. Is there something that can be done to resolve this problem?

CCleaner is great for removing junk files most of which just sit and take up space. But most of those files just take up space and the others generally tend to be just a small slice of the performance slow-down problem that occurs over time.. You have lots of things to learn about and then to-do list to address the performance issue.(And advice: Don't try tweaking services unless you think you know what you're doing and how to recover if you made a mistake)

And I'm guessing she's probably running XP on that laptop? Here's a variety of articles to help on the subject

In addition to the advise give by LookinAround, I`d like to do a quick check for malware.

Go and read this thread HERE and post a HJT log as an attachment into this thread.
