I looked at a laptop that had problems in Windows. I wanted to clear the temp internet files but Internet Options wasn't able to be selected. I knew that it hadn't been updated so I updated, hoping to get the new IE. I restarted and I get two options, launch windows normally or launch startup repair. If I select startup repair it runs for a few hours and does nothing. If I select startup normal it just restarts. I can get startup options so I have tried safe mode and everything else on the list. I tossed in a Vista disk to see if I could do that repair and I get a bsod that is 0x0000009c (0x0000000000000001, 0xfffffa80017c7738, 0x00000000b6000000, 0x0000000000000181) machine check exception
