Vista/xp-pro

I have a gateway laptop with vista installed. I would like to install xp-pro, however Gateway tells me no audio or video drivers avalable for xp. Is this true? If not where can I find drivers?

Try to identify the chips used on the sound & video cards. Once you know the manufacturer you could on their website to see if they don't have generic drivers available.
