PC newcomer Vizio has announced their Windows 8 holiday lineup consisting of two all-in-one desktops, two Ultrabooks and a single notebook. All systems include third generation Intel Core processors and ship with Microsoft’s Signature seal of approval meaning bloatware will be kept to a minimum.

The 24-inch and 27-inch AIO systems utilize full 1080p displays described by PCMag as eye-popping although as I pointed out in a recent review of HP’s Omni 27 AIO, 1,920 x 1,080 is a relatively low resolution for such a large screen. The same would likely hold true for Vizio’s new 27-inch AIO, but I digress.

Both systems use a 10-point capacitive touchscreen to take advantage of Windows 8’s interactive environment. A 2.1 audio system with built-in subwoofer comes standard as well. Select models will ship with an Nvidia Kepler-class GPU for added graphical processing power. Pricing starts at $998 for the 24-inch AIO with a 500GB hard drive.

New for Windows 8 are two Thin + Light Ultrabooks; the first includes a 14-inch display while the latter ships with a larger 15.6-inch screen. There’s no touch support on board but Vizio hopes the multi-gesture trackpad will help make up for the deficiency. Look for these two portables to start at $849.

Vizio’s new 15.6-inch isn’t touch-enabled either but will ship with a similarly-enhanced trackpad like those found on the Ultrabooks. Pricing here starts at $1,129, we’re told.

The company will begin taking pre-orders for the Thin + Light systems starting tomorrow. AIO Touch PCs will be available at Vizio.com and key retailers like Amazon.com, MicrosoftStore.com and Walmart.com this holiday season.

Like the first gen, they look good. We'll have to wait and see if they've fixed the battery and trackpad issues though.
