Volkswagen unveils temporary auto-pilot

Have you ever fantasized of dozing off as your car drives itself into the comforts of your home, or sitting back to enjoy some free time to yourself as your futuristic car does all of the work? We might not be quite there yet but Volkswagen's brand new Temporary Auto Pilot is a huge leap in the right direction. Of course, like all promised systems of this kind, will it be safe and will Volkswagen take responsibility for its mistakes?

Merc S class have something similar for a while, although with few caveats, including it can only 'follow' a car in front of you.
