I fail to see how "herd immunity" has happened... or will happen... please feel free to give some evidence for this nonsense.

COVID will almost definitely be less dangerous than the flu LATER.... but NOT RIGHT NOW!!

Once we have more knowledge in treating it, vaccines (or hopefully, even a cure), etc, will make it something no one thinks twice about...

Much like the measles, hepatitis, rubella, etc. today... deadly fatal, but now that we have vaccines for them, not really a problem (except for anti-vaxxers who screw it up for everyone!).

The problem is RIGHT NOW, people are treating COVID like it's just an "old people disease" and are spreading it to everyone....

Sorry, I already don't think twice about it and I didn't need a vaccine to get to this point. The case fatality rate got me to the point of not thinking twice about it. So I don't.

What really screws up the world are the demented vaccine junkies who scream at the top of their lungs until their veins pop out that a vaccine is the only thing that can save anybody. Endymio made brilliant points about the case fatality rate of COVID-19. And all you did was sit their with a blank stare on your face and go to back to your pre-conceived notions of how vaccines have more saving power than Jesus Christ himself.

It's called the novel corona virus because new makes it sound more scary and conditions people to want a vaccine more than they normally would. The "family" of corona virus has been around since the 70's.

3 months into the pandemic "We know nothing about this virus. Keep wearing your mask until we get a vaccine".
6 months into the pandemic. "We know nothing about this virus. Keep wearing your mask until we get a vaccine".

See the pattern? Stop drinking the kool-aid. Please, maybe trying incorporating some fish into your diet so you can think more clearly.

Of course, this is not my first post on this issue and I grow tired of trying to get the vaccine junkies to see what's really going on. It's so easy to see for some of us. Very difficult for others. But those of us in the real world appreciate that modern medicine keeps us safe from all sorts of diseases - there’s a reason the average life expectancy has gone from 30 to 75+... and it isn’t TV!

The “family” of COVID might be old... but COVID 19 is NOT!!! Just because a disease has “older relatives” doesn’t mean we can cure it!

The point of novel corona virus being in the family of corona virus since the 70's mean it's not entirely new which means it's not true that we know nothing about it. After 6 months of having exposure to it, we have enough data to know, it's not going to kill us all. So, that's my first point.

No, that's not really I want. I want us all to self-isolate and wear masks for the rest of our lives so that some of us end up 1) committing suicide, 2) abusing our spouse/children, 3) stealing/robbing others because we have no job, 4) Getting drunk/stoned all day because we have no job/income. This is what I really want. I want EVERYBODY ELSE's lives to be absolutely ruined so that 1 grandma/grandpa might be saved at the sacrifice of millions of others. *sarcasm*

Same old tired argument from the vaccine junkies. "Grandma killer!". *sigh*

Read my lips: "Exposure...okay?...exposure...I.e. cases...not equal...death".

We're not living in Disneyland, fantasyland or Heaven. People die daily. And people will always die because we are not immortal. We are not robots. Stop drinking the kool-aid. I know it tastes sweet. Holding onto that fear feels good doesn't it? But it doesn't help anybody.
