Wd mycloud ex2 ultra

Hi I am an artist working on large files I'd like to access from multiple locations. I don't understand if I have to actually download a file stored in the cloud to work on it, or if I can work on it directly from the cloud.
Also, I was trying to load files onto the WeTransfer service directly from the cloud and the browser kept crashing! So basically I don't understand if the ex2 ultra is just a storage system or if I can work from it. The technicians at WD led me to believe I could work from it.

Thanks for your help!

My Cloud Expert Series EX2 Ultra
  • Capacity: 0TB - 20TB
  • Number of Drive Bays: 2-Bay
  • Processor: Marvell ARMADA 385 1.3GHz dual-core
  • Streaming: HD Media
  • RAID: 0, 1, JBOD, Spanning
The device is basically a local NAS with a public accessible interface for syncing locally.

That means, it really should be treated as a storage device, not an active, local HD. IMO, I would use the Sync feature to keep my local HD synchronized to the NAS and not attempt to word/edit files directly on the NAS - - but that's just me.

The bigger issue is your browser crashing - - which browser has this symptom, or do ALL browsers crash?

BTW: How do you edit a file on the NAS using a browser?
