Weekend Open Forum: How much did your case cost?

I build 3 pc´s for my brother in law, his gf and then my other brother in law, all in the Corsair Obsidian 800D it was on sale and like half the price.

Then 3 days later i decided to go buy it for myself...and ofc!!! it was not on sale anymore, so i got robbed :(

That is karma ..when its broken!!
 
Nearly 2 years old: Antec P193 (£130) with an Antec CP-850 PSU (£70).
 
I saw the HAF 912 really cheap (in Chile South America) and was going to buy it but then they went out of stock... so I had to look for something close in caracteristics and price. Adding the fans and bla bla to check the price, ended buying a CoolerMaster Scout Storm amazing chassis.

Hey I got my case for free too! I stole it.
 
I got the HAF X. The way I figure, It looks nice enough to use for many builds down the road. If I rebuild it with new hardware 4 times, it'll be like I spent 50$ per build for a case. Get something nice that I really like and I figure the investment will be worth it.
 
i have an antec 900 very nice and cool case paid just over $120 for it but i am about to upgrade to the Silverstone Fortress FT02 i believe it is one of the best case designs out right now and the most efficient.

I refuse to pay more than $50-$60 for a case. I don't care for a case that looks like a Tonka truck or contains a laser light show. Prefer Quality and Function with minimalistic styling. Cooler Master Centurion 590 was the first case I ever bought, for $50. I gave that computer away to a relative.

Currently have the Cooler Master Centurion 534+ which I got for less than $30, free shipping. Both CM cases are excellent.

For my HTPC, I went with an InWin BT610T with 300w PSU included for less than $60 with free shipping. Also the Apex TX-381 is a great basic case, which I picked up for $25 free shipping.

I am about to switch from a TJ07 to a FT02. TJ07 was a nice case but it vibrated like crazy with my setup, the side panels didn't fit properly, and the stock air cooling was pretty rubbish.
 
I purchased a CM storm Scout for around 100$ and it is a BEAST of a case. I have a Thermaltake Frio heatsink that just fits in the case, and I had 2 5770s running in crossfire but I just recently switched to a 6870 last week. If you're planning on liquid cooling it WOULD work but its only a mid case and there wouldnt be very much room.

5 out of 5 for this mid case.
 
£90 for a coolermaster 690 II advanced, a few niggles with it

uneven feet, unsheathed fan cables, fiddly removal of the front filters , poorly positioned MB cutout and to tight a space for cable management behind the MB
 
My Antec P180 mini (the black one) cost $69 when it was on Newegg. Now they only have the white one, and every other onlien vendor either stopped carrying the case, has it on extreme backorder, or has it priced extremely high. Such a shame for the best case I've ever owned.
 
Every time I'm in need of a new case, I just head to the junk store and offer $5 for old towers with most the components missing. The most I've ever paid and I've gotten a few nice cases for good deals.
 
Black AZZA Fantom 900 ATX Mid Tower Beautiful case excellent reviews on johnyguru you would think its an 200 dollar case but with rebate about 70

I'm with you on this one. Bang for the buck, the Antec 300 is unbeatable.
 
I have the Cooler Master CM690. Bought it about 3 years back for around Rs 4500, that's over $90. Yeah, things are pretty damn expensive here. :)
 
I got an Antec 300 for $30, which was the bargain of the year. Spent another $15 or so on fans and I have the perfect case for my needs.
 
Mine is a cooler master CM 690....has a good room for water cooling ma i5 760 using a corsair H70 and for cross firing my radeon hd 6870 card....:D
 
I like my Lian Li maybe around $180. Like that it's an aluminum case with a side widow.
