Weekend Open Forum: How often do you beat games?

Every new game that i get i play till the end the first time around. I have played COD Modern Warfare 1&2 and Black Ops, Bad Company2, Crysis Warhead, Halo 1&2, Devil May Cry4, Prince of Persia, Warcraft frozenthrone, C&C Generals&zero hour, Red Alert, NFS Underground1&2,
NFS Most Wanted&Undercover&CarbonX, almost everything from Mario (since Nes) =D

Before moving to MMO's to play, I completed about 80% of my console games. I play them for the storyline and exploration factors. I've recently gone back to single player games with Mass Effect & Mass Effect 2 (and I completed both and got the extra DLC's) and Gears of War.
For me, not finishing the game is like watching a movie half way. If i'm not going to finish, why start?
Admittedly, time does play a factor in how long it takes me to finish a game, but i manage to keep at it until its done.

If I buy games that have an ending, I tend to play it twice. Halflife 2, Bioshock, Mass Effect and the likes.

Most games I buy don't end, because they either have missions or races. For the first you have an endless supply of user created content and for the other there are user-created tracks, combined with numerous vehicles can create a number of possible races that would keep one occupied for years.

Buy most of my PC games for the single player campaigns...always play in the hardest possible setting, right from the off. This is my way of getting the absolute most out of a game.
A real good game is one you'll go back play immediately in total.
Always finish a game prior to moving on to the next adventure.
Tend to stockpile games based on price reductions.....don't dedicate too much time to multiplayer these days as that inhibits the time needed to discover the plethora of games that's always on offer.

I've finished Mass Effect 2, Crysis, and Dungeon Siege (well, I used the cheat codes on DS). I'm came close to beating Titan Quest but just couldn't kill Typhon.

It'll take some time to finish the rest of the games in my library but since I gave up cable television I have more time on my hands:).

I've beaten most of the games I have between my PC and Xbox 360. Played through and beaten Mass Effect 4 times and Mass Effect 2 twice (and will probably do a third before too long).
Usually if I don't finish a game, it's because the game doesn't turn out as good as I hoped (could be poor gameplay, poor story line, etc) to where I get bored with it quickly or it's teadious to play.

PC and games are my biggest hobby. I finish all good games for me:Bully,Call of Duty 1,2,4,Far Cry 1,F.E.A.R. 1,2,Mafia 1,2,Brothers in Arms-two parts,Medal of Honor,Sniper Art of Victory,NFS Underground 1,2,Most Wanted,Carbon,Undercover,Stronghold Crusader,Stronghold Legend,Age of Mithology,Assassins Creed 1,.................When I play good game,I try to finish it,and I dont need much time if game is good.I most like if game is good and long.............

Well I played Mass Effect 2 all the way trough and enjoyed every minute! I've also bought most of the DLC add-ons too (except Lair of the Shadow Thief, butonly because I don't have time to play it). ME2 is a terrific game 10/10.

I would easily say 90% of the time. Sometimes it takes a long time to do so, but I definitely finish most games I purchase, at the price they are getting to if I don't like a game enough to finish I re-sell it on CL or to one of the used game stores to at least recoup some of the cost. Mostly now I use Blockbusters monthly pass or something similar to rent games so I don't have to pay much to play all of the latest games.
Several titles in fact have recently been very disappointing as I'm much more a fan of the Single Player campaigns than MP, and it was clear after playing the game which portion got more attention.

I have a fairly large collection of games but I just don't have the time to complete them. I have to stop myself from getting more games as I'll never finish the one's I've previously bought. Sometimes, there's just too much variety. There's ALWAYS never enough time!
