Weird problem with internet

Dear all,

i am facing a very weird problem on my computer. The moment i enter the url "www.orkut.com" , all my internet explorer windows close automatically. Also, even if i enter the word "orkut" in my google search, still the windows close automatically.
i have tried this with both IE and firefox browsers.

Please help me in identifying the problem.

on FF, use tools->Options->Privacy
at the bottom, click the Settings for Private Data
clear everything when exiting
click ok until you're out of the Options

now quit FF

relaunch FF and enter that url again

If it's weird, it's probably *SPYWARE*!!

Use the following 3 anti-spyware utilities:

• Ad-Aware 2007
• Spybot Search & Destroy
• AVG Anti-Spyware

All are free and can be downloaded via the Internet.

Thanks guys. But, none of the two things helped. I cleared the private data. And i installed spybot.

Hoever, the prob still persists.

You need to run all 3 anti-spyware utilities I listed! Also, try running them in both Normal and Safe Modes.

Should you decide to clean your computer, please go ahead to Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions and follow the steps given. Do follow all the instructions exactly. They will provide logs for analysis of your system so I will know how to instruct you to proceed.

Thereafter, please post fresh HijackThis, AVG Antispyware and Combofix logs as attachments into this thread. Do not copy and paste your logs if not it will be ignored and/or removed.

Also, please let me know the results of the AVG Antirootkit scan
