Which first? Device drivers or opperating system

I am rebuilding a system with new parts. After the motherboard and drives are installed and I have run the BIOS setup program, should I install the opperating system or the drvice drivers supplied with the new motherboard next?

The only drivers you may need before you OS install are for other onboard drive controlers and RAID setups(if you want to use one with your OS.)

After instal use the CD that came with the motherboard and install chipset drivers and such, then video drivers.

And then install antivirus and firewall, if u connect to the internet, never forget that.

Ur perfectly working computer will give u a big headache very soon without a good antivirus and firewall. U can download antivirus for free from www.grisoft.com and firewall from www.kerio.com
