Which of these 3dCard is better for playing new age games?
Tell with details.
Number these cards with respect to betterment.

Radeon 9800pro 128MB
Geforce Fx5900 XT 128MB
Geforce Fx5800 128Mb
Geforce 6600 128MB

From Tom's Hardware Guide:

Card name/memory/ DX/Chipclock/Memclock/Buswidth/Pipes

GeForce FX 5900 XT 128MB DX 9 400 700 256 bit 8
Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB DX 9 380 680 256 bit 8
GeForce FX 5800 128MB DX 9 400 800 128 bit 8
GeForce 6600 128MB DX 9.0 SM3.0 300 700 128 bit 8

Looks like the 5900XT is the better card, but I'd personally choose the 9800pro. Had one until recently and can't say enough good about it.

I typed this up earlier today for this post:

There was an article about budget cards in Computer Gaming World magazine, here's some ideas for you:

All tests are at 1024x768, no AA or AF on a 3.4gHz Pentium 4 EE system, 1GB RAM.

Under $100:
GeForce 6200TC 64/256MB - 1358 3DMark's (2005), 18.4 Doom 3 fps.
Radeon X300 128MB - 1432 3DMark's (2005), 18.7 Doom 3 fps

$100-$150
Geforce 6600 256MB - 2108 3DMark's (2005), 51.1 Doom 3 fps
Radeon X600XT 128MB - 2108 3DMark's (2005), 29.9 Doom 3 fps
Radeon X700Pro 256MB - 3319 3DMark's (2005), 54.1 Doom 3 fps

$150-$200
Geforce 6600GT 128MB - 3826 3DMark's (2005), 83.6 Doom 3 fps
Radeon X800 128MB - 3733 3DMark's (2005), 71.1 Doom 3 fps

Over $200
Geforce 6600GT OC 128MB - 3826 3DMark's (2005), 85.9 Doom 3 fps
Geforce 6800 256MB - 3992 3DMark's (2005), 93.9 Doom 3 fps
Radeon X800XL 256MB - 5038 3DMark's (2005), 89.5 Doom 3 fps

The prices may have changed since the article was written, but it gives you an example of what your looking at for what price range. There is a giant leap in performance from the under $100 and the $100-$150 range

Go for the 9800 pro of those cards.

So, to list them from best to worst it'd be:
9800pro
6600
5900xt(I think xt meant crippled edition for nvidia)
5800

Depending on the game/bench, and resolution, the 6600 could be in any position.

Ex. Doom3, 6600 beats all three others.

Ex. HL2, 6600 in last place.

Ex. CR, 6600 2nd place.
http://graphics.tomshardware.com/graphic/20050705/vga-charts-pcie-09.html

So the order of the 9800pro, 5900xt, and 5800 is pretty consistant at
9800pro>5900xt>5800, but the 6600 can be in any postion between them depending on the situation.
