There is nothing wrong and the apparent anomaly reflects a slight difference in the keyboard layouts for US and UK English. You may be able to change the Windows version of English via Control Panel (if you can find it). I think it would be easier to live with the difference when using Windows 8. More important is that you should now be running Windows 8.1 and have updated it to the latest version of 8.1 update 1. You will find 8.1 ready to download in the Windows store for free. It's a massive download if you haven't already done this.
  3. But I am on windows 10

Reem ps said he was on Windows 8. :)
If you upgraded from an earlier OS it should have kept all your previous settings.

The difference between US and UK layout is minimal. I've got one keybard that's set to US and I've never bothered changing it.
