Why is it buffering?

Going here https://www.kiro7.com/weather/dopplerstream/ after about 20 seconds a round "buffering" thing starts in the Everett area & don't stop. I've contacted the station but it still goes. Its on my desktop & using Ethernet . Any ideas??

I live almost a 2 thousand miles from there and it's not working for me either.
It has to be something on their side.

Clear browser cache , cookie and then try again ... works for me

Did such with both browsers GC & FF but still buffers

Of course it buffers (unless you have direct 1gb access).

Large sites typically use CDN for constant resource deployment (like icons & scripts) and when they get overloaded or inaccessible, major disruptions occur.

This buffering just started a few days ago, I told them & they told me it was happening their too. I'm patiently waiting for them to get it fixed

The browser is trying to reach something that it isn't smart enough to realize that it isn't there.
