I've been doing some basic testing with Windows 10 Tech Preview and I have "reserved" a copy for home use so the answer is yes.
NOT even for a Klondike bar...gotta wait for at least the 1st service PK , and If there's enough "REAL" Improvement's to the OS over Win 7 not just putting a new dress on an old sow
That depends on which features the user needs/wants, the features being removed or added.Enjoy your slower, less fully-featured OS I guess.
Will I get Windows 10? Absolutely.
Will I get Windows 10 this year? Probably.
Will I get Windows 10 on launch day? No f---ing way!
Unless you have a computer to spare, you must be a complete fool to upgrade on launch day, especially since it will be free to upgrade for a year. Of course, if you upgrade straight away you can then brag about the fact that you're using windows 10 while others are not, but if your self-esteem is based on that kind of bragging, I feel sorry for you. I'd guess about 95% of all users would be wise to wait at least a couple of weeks (maybe even months) before upgrading.
Don't say I didn't warn you.
You should at least name some of the cons of upgrading on day one instead of just telling people how dumb they are for doing it.Will I get Windows 10? Absolutely.

Anyone saying this hasn't been doing their research. Windows 10 is objectively better and faster than Windows 7 in every conceivable way. I will be upgrading on Day 1 - it's better and it's free forever, there is absolutely no reason not to. Just dive in and enjoy, and know that Windows 10 is going to be remembered as fondly as Windows 7 is now.
If you don't upgrade, you are limiting yourself to slower boot times and overall performance (Windows 10 uses fewer resources than Windows 7, this is a fact), no DX12, no new file management tools, no Hyper-V, single workspace, etc. Clinging to the past and saying "Well M$ f'd it up with Win 8 so I'm sticking with 7" just makes you look stubborn and uninformed. Enjoy your slower, less fully-featured OS I guess.
I think he means that once you upgrade your license (within that first year that the offers take place), you'll have one license for Windows 10 forever. Not that the offer lasts forever.Free forever...not quite. It's a free upgrade for a year to eligible machines.
You probably will. I know I will. But that is irrelevant. That is the cost of moving forward with a company that thinks they know best. MS giving Windows 10 for free is the only way they are getting me to move from Windows 7. I know within reason MS also knew I was not the only one that felt this way. After all why else would they give it for free?I'm getting it when it gets to me Hope I don't regret it
