Windows 10 screen/mouse troubles

So, on my Samsung series 5 ultrabook (although I've seen multiple mentions of the same problem on other touch screen devices) I have a phantom screen problem. white balls come in and out of view up and down the right side of the screen. somehow they take over the mouse and cause programs to go on and off, zoom in and out and repeatedly ask whether I want to close all open windows. drivers are all up-to-date and no troubleshooting programs have been able to catch it....any thoughts? I was advised to uncheck visual feedback when touching screen (in pen and touch settings)...but to no avail
