Okay cool. So they could stop automatic updates for unsupported devices at any given time if/when they decide to. So perhaps MS just hasn't pulled the trigger on it yet, but there is the possibility that they could at any time.It's possible they haven't officially "flipped the switch" yet. It's possible you could have issues down the road.
“Devices that do not meet these system requirements will no longer be guaranteed to receive updates, including but not limited to security updates.” If you do get denied for a Windows update, you’ll have to download and install the patches manually.
Not that it is an issue for myself, when I eventually do upgrade, my devices are all supported, but it could be an issue for users of unsupported hardware, so I will leave it to those users to decide for themselves how much of an issue it is for them personally.
