Windows 7 HDD not reading

Hi all, its my first time posting here.

I have a large problem, all of a sudden my computer didn't run windows 7 from the primary drive, it ran XP from the secondary drive.
The drive doesn't come up in "My Computer" nor does it appear in the setup


I really need to know if there is a solution for this, irreplaceable photos are on it

First off look in the BIOS to see if its listed in there. If its not then the drive cables could have come lose or the drive has failed.

The BIOS says it autodetects only SATA 1 drive.
If it has failed is there any way I could recover data?

You can try to use Recuva. if you don't have any luck with Recuva, then i would make sure the drive cables haven't come lose.
