  1. hello,
When I start my comp. it loads through the basic bios and everything regularly without fail or any hiccups.

The windows splash screen and loading bar come up and load.

Then the window's login screen SHOULD appear, but instead I get a black screen. I can see the mouse and move it but that is all I can do.

When I go to safe mode it supposedly loads safe mode because the corners of the screen say safe mode but once again it is a black screen . and the the only other thing I see is the mouce which I can move around but that is it.

I have tried restoring to the last working settings,or rebooting numerous times, but I still get the same issue?

any idea what the problem is and how I can fix it? The computer worked this morning when I started it. I shut it down this evening but then needed to turn it back on to check a few things and it would not load up properly.

I should also mention I am running windows xp SP3.

any and all help is appreciated.
