Windows safe mode?

I cant use any of my virus scanners so im going to try to go into safe mode to start them. How do i do that?

Tap F8 constantly

Select safe mode

Did you end up removing your corrupted AVG and running the "Remover Tool", as I suggested >> 3 days ago?
