Windows setup screen then goes to error

Hi this is my first post I'm trying to install a new hard drive and reinstall xp error code is stop 0x0000007e (a bunch of other #'s ) if you need more info let me know.

now i took out 1 ram stick and I got driver_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Are you also removing the partitions during the XP clean (?) install?
