Hello everybody,
I have a Compaq Presario V6000, with AMD Turion 64 X 2, 512 MB RAM, NVidia dispaly adapter with 128 MB of not shared memory, and Windows XP and Everest shows 480 MB of RAM. Why does that happen? And yes I'm sure that the graphics is not shared.

32 MB can be taken by any device, not just display adapter. Graphics has it's own 128 MB of memory. Something else is mapping that memory, I just don't know what it is.

Here is what you have: Taken from link in last post about your system.
Video adapter
V6310CA: NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 (UMA)
V6320CA / V6305CA / V6317CA / V6316CA: NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 6150

Video RAM
Up to 128 MB shared video memory

To me that means 32mb onboard and 96mb shared so the 32mb is taken away from your 512mb. Understand.
Actually 128mb can be taken from your 512mb.

How do you know it is not shared. Almost all laptops use shared memory except for high end ones.
