Xbox 360 video flicker

Hi all,

Setup is this:

Xbox 360 connected to a Denon AVR-985 through the VDP connection in the back. The HD cables are connected as well, and the HDTV switch is toggled on the 360. I checked the connections and none of them are loose.

The problem:

Whenever a game is loading, the screen flickers quite a bit... more than it's supposed to. I'm afraid this may damage the TV, so I'm looking to correct it.

And the complication is that this has never happened before. It just started out of the blue.

Do you have another system connected to it? ( Like a PS2 or something ) Because that is usualy what the problem is and you have to take it out

Nope... no other video game systems connected.

There is a DVD player and a VCR connected to the AVR (the VCR functions as a cable box), but that's about it.... When I initially got the 360, this problem wasn't there... all that I'm hoping is that I don't have to trash the 360... seeing as to how its so expensive...
