XP drivers for a Vista laptop

Im trying to instal an ati radeon mobility graphics driver for my laptop and my laptop was recently updated from xp to vista and i was wondering if i can download anything that would help me install it cause it keeps saying it cant find standard vga adapter and it says the device is working properly

It appears there are drivers for it on the ATI site www.ati.com... as they list them separately for XP, VISTA, and Windows 7.
A relatively simple download and install, or have you tried this to no avail?
