Seemingly, sneaky people have been using the ultra-fast Internet2 to swap movies and music. Internet2, which is not publicly available yet, can currently only be accessed by institutions such as leading universities. Apparently, Internet2 is at present awash with the trading of pirated media, and in a suit to be filed Wednesday, the Washington-based Recording Industry Association of America has accused hundreds of college students of illegally using it for sharing files. And once the RIAA is involved, well... I wonder how many college students will be getting threatened with jail this time.

"Right now the Internet2 is a zone of lawlessness when it comes to theft of music and movies and that just can't be allowed to continue." - RIAA President Cary Sherman.
