Intel and Philips have joined forces to market home entertainment systems with Intel chips. Under the arrangement, Intel will supply a processor, chipset and software for a new Philips media centre. The media centre will allow customers to store and share photos, music and video, and will include a card that allows users to watch two TV channels at once. Also provided is a 250-gigabyte hard disk drive for storing music and photo collections.
