Talks to enter into a joint investment to produce NAND flash memory chips between Samsung Electronics and Apple Computer have broken down, not making it past even the preliminary stages, it has been revealed. Sungin Cho, a Samsung spokeswoman, confirmed the breakdown in talks, but would give no reason as to why. However, some say that the talks fell apart after news of an inquiry into the terms under which Samsung supplies NAND chips for Apple's iPod Nano.
