Laptop fans like me will be pleased to hear that Acer have introduced the Aspire 9500 family of notebooks. These notebooks are a range of 17" wide-screen notebooks, targeted for the work and entertainment needs of professionals in SMB and SOHO environments, but also aimed at home users. The notebooks boast a 17" WXGA Acer CrystalBrite color TFT LCD, as well as ATI Mobility Radeon X700 graphics, analog and digital TV tuner and Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition. There is the choice of either an Intel Pentium M or Intel Celeron M Processor. Supported memory is up to a healthy 2GB DDR2 533 SDRAM.

The Aspire 9500 features the new Acer's Empowering Technology software offerings. Accessible via the "Empowering Key" on the notebook keyboard, Acer's Empowering Technology lets users quickly access frequently-used functions and settings, making their PCs more productive and their job more efficient and successful.

The Acer Aspire 9500 is available $1299. The price of Acer Aspire 9504WSMi is $2299, and Acer Aspire 9502WSMi is available at $1699.
