Guess what - your video iPod and TiVo can work together! TiVo has announced a new technology that will let its subscribers transfer TV shows they record at home to their iPods or to their Sony PlayStation portable devices. The deal will make any show on TV available to anyone who is a TiVo subscriber. Testing will begin in a matter of weeks, with delivery in full expected by the beginning of next year.
"This makes it very convenient for people to manage how they watch TV," TiVo CEO Tom Rogers told the Daily News.
The news gave TiVo shares a lift yesterday, closing at $5.50, up 23 cents for a 4.4% gain.
