Ubisoft has announced development of Red Steel, the company's first game for Nintendo's next generation console Revolution. Set in modern-day Japan, the first-person action title allows players to fight with both a katana and modern firearms. Immersive gameplay is promised, thanks to the Revolution's new controller.

"We have been working closely with Nintendo to take full advantage of the innovative controller to create a thrilling experience that can only exist on the Revolution", said Serge Hascoet, chief creative officer at Ubisoft.
