More than a year since their last release, the Slackware team has released the next update to the extremely popular Slackware Linux distro. Version 11 is now available for download, bringing with it a host of new updates, hardware and software. Among them include a standard 2.6.17 or 2.6.18 kernel, KDE 3.5.4, newer development tools and lots more. If you follow Slackware and do updates on your own, you could easily keep your system up to date with this software as well, but this brings it together in a nice installable CD for those who'd rather not bother.

You can download the full version from the Slackware FTP site, or from one of their many mirrors. It is, of course, free.
