Diverging a bit from their regular lineup of SD cards, Sony will, for the first time, be introducing their own line of CompactFlash cards, compatible with existing standards. Starting at 1GB capacities and moving up to 4GB capacities, Sony's new line of cards will be aimed primarily at digital cameras, such as their own Alpha A100. Many of their products already support CF, and many other devices do to, including some that do not support SD. They are dubbed "CompactFlash Type I".
