Today, Secunia announced the discovery of a new security vulnerability on Windows platforms, this one revolving around animated cursors. Affecting various editions of Windows 2000, 2003, XP and Vista, the flaw has been rated "Extremely Critical" by Secunia, who claim it is already being exploited in the wild. If exploited, it allows arbitrary code execution which of course can lead to system infection and compromise. Microsoft released an advisory regarding the flaw, and as usual their current suggestion is to simply "browse safe" and be careful of what emails you open. No patch is yet available for this flaw.
