The infamous OLPC project has been struck with another issue, this time related to their ability to meet production demands. Due to some unexplained "last minute bugs", the laptop, which was already supposed to be under production, will be delayed until the middle of November.

It's unlikely this has anything to do with their "buy-one-give-one" program, which allows people to order an OLPC machine for $400 with the promise that one will be sent for free to a developing nation. However, the program itself is also delayed to November 12th. There isn't any mention of what specifically has troubled them, but it is not a surprise. After a price hike and now issues with supply, I hope they can still manage to begin shipping the units without trouble.
