The arrival of the GeForce 8800 GT did not only translate into affordable performance to the desktop market, but it also meant we have to stare and sit duck until actual cards become available at retailers, and perhaps more importantly to Nvidia and gamers on the go, it means that the GeForce 8 series technology has been ported to mobile in the form of the GeForce 8800M GTS and GTX.

As we discovered in our Inno3D GeForce 8800 GT review, the G92 revision core is capable of boosting performance while doing it in style, consuming less power and running cooler than previous GeForce 8 series cards. The GeForce 8800M GTS and GTX take it from here to offer a compelling high-end gaming part for mobiles. Anandtech has a full report with benchmarks on what to expect from these latest chips.

As usual, expect these to appear in more expensive desktop replacement systems from HP, Alienware, Dell, and other smaller niche focused manufacturers in the coming weeks/months.
