Safari on the Apple iPhone offers almost certainly the best mobile browsing experience out there, but the device's lack of Flash support is certainly a major bone of contention for many users. That could soon change, it seems, with recent news that Adobe is actively developing a port for the iPhone and iPod touch.

That said, the company reiterated that an Adobe Flash player for iPhone depends entirely on Apple's approval, and that a player could be made available "in a very short time" if they are given the go ahead. Apple and Adobe have had an on-and-off relationship with each other regarding Flash on the iPhone, particularly over the plug-in being too CPU-intensive and other security and privacy related concerns.
