If you are in the market for a reasonably priced gaming notebook, then you might be interested to know MSI has just updated its G-series laptops with a pair of AMD-powered systems, the 15.4-inch GT630 and 17-inch GX735. Both models sport a Turion X2 Ultra dual-core processor running at 2.2GHz, which can be tweaked to run as much as 15 percent faster with MSI's Turbo Drive technology.

Apart from the different display sizes (and corresponding resolutions) they also feature different GPUs - the graphics on the GT630 and GX735 are powered by an Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3850, respectively. All other specs are pretty much the same on both machines, including 4GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, and Windows Vista Home Premium.

You also get a standard 2-Megapixel webcam, Bluetooth, an HDMI port, 4-in-1 Card Reader and trio of USB 2.0 ports in each of these notebooks. Both models are available in stores now, with the GX630 priced at around $1,050 and the GT735 at $1,250.
