In a bizarre and somewhat confusing marketing move, OnePlus is celebrating April Fools' Day by launching a product you can actually buy through their store: a palm-sized quadrocopter called the DR-1.

Through an exaggerated product pitch, OnePlus says the DR-1 "embodies the legacy of flight and the bravery to question everything." The drone was apparently "designed just for you", and "expands upon the framework laid out by the aviation pioneers who came before us".

But in actual fact, the DR-1 is smaller than the palm of your hand, at just 70mm across and 28mm deep. It comes with four 30mm rotors and an internal 0.37 Wh battery (100 mAh at 3.7 V), which is large enough for 5-8 minutes of flight time with a 20 minute recharge through USB. It's controlled by a simple dual-stick remote control, and there's orientation LEDs on the drone itself to assist with flight.

The DR-1 is available in "limited quantities" through the OnePlus store for just $19.99, shipping in 3-15 days. To reiterate, despite this being labeled as an April Fools' Day joke on the OnePlus website, it is a real product and it is actually available to purchase.
