Unto the Evil, the first premium (paid) DLC for Doom, is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Naturally, Bethesda has published a launch trailer showcasing what the $14.99 multiplayer expansion has to offer gamers.

If you like fast-paced shooters, Doom's multiplayer offering will be right up your alley.

The expansion delivers three new multiplayer maps - Cataclysm, Offering and Ritual - as well as a new weapon, the UAC EMG Pistol, new equipment in the Kinetic Mine and the ability to play as the Harvester demon. Other extras include new armor sets, colors, patterns, taunts and even a new hack module.

As I mentioned last month, what's most intriguing about the update is a feature called PartyPlay. With it, if just one person in your party has purchased the DLC, everyone gets to play the new maps. For those that regularly play with the same group of friends, this could save everyone a lot of money (especially if the group splits the cost evenly).

In celebration of the DLC's arrival, Bethesda is also implementing Double XP this weekend (it technically started yesterday) which runs through August 8 at 12pm EDT.
