The Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED shows off the power of AMD's latest processors and looks great doing it, but it runs warm and you may need a dongle because it's light on ports.
The Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED is one of the best laptops I’ve ever reviewed. Its cutting-edge AMD chip is super-speedy, even capable of playing games, while the high-resolution OLED display is breathtaking for video. Its fans can get irritatingly loud under strain, and the lack of USB-A ports is irksome – but those are minor blemishes on an otherwise fantastic all-rounder laptop.
Aside from weaker battery life, the ZenBook competes strongly on all fronts: it’s just as fast, it’s lighter and better looking, has superior connectivity and its 2.8K touchscreen display is drop dead gorgeous. The M2 MacBook Air may well arrive and steal its thunder in a few weeks time but at this price there is no better Windows ultraportable.

That said, the Ryzen 6000U-powered ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED is simply excellent. We don’t have final pricing on the particular configuration we tested just yet, but if history is an indicator (last year’s model with OLED display was competitively priced) the ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED won’t break the bank.
