As a whole, Broken Age is an entertaining, enjoyable experience full of pathos and humor with some iffy late act plot developments. Individually, Broken Age: Act 1 is a much better setup than Broken Age: Act 2's pay off. It isn't to say Act 2 is bad,...
I really want to love Broken Age Act 2 as much as I loved the first part. As a complete package, the game is beautiful, funny and well-designed. Its world is full of imaginative characters and environments, and its story is a rollercoaster of a mystery built around a truly unique hook.
Broken Age: Act 2 wraps up Shay and Vella's story in great fashion. The jokes are punchy, the twists are rewarding, and most of the puzzles are satisfying in a special way. While I wish that Double Fine kept taking me to new and surprising settings, Act...
All right! Act 2 of Broken Age is finally out and ready to be played. It's been a long time, but the Double Fine Kickstarter project is finally complete. Now you finally get to see what happens to Shay and Vella. I'm ready. Let's go!…What the heck was I...
In the end, it's the surface details - the dry and gentle wit, the winsome voice acting, and the gorgeous design - that lash it all together. The deeper elements, the bones that might give it structural strength, feel thin. Now that I've completed the entirety of Double Fine's return to adventure games, I have to say ... I'm a little disappointed. Whether or not you share my sentiment will depend on what you're looking for in an adventure game.
I was happy to rejoin Shay and Vella and help guide them through this adventure’s conclusion. Who doesn’t want to root for a pair of underdogs, especially when they’re up against forces that seem to relish in ignorance? In spite of the bizarre human-sacrifice mythology and space-simulation hijinks, Broken Age is a wonderful tale grounded in relationships and how two people – no matter how insignificant they might seem – can make a difference.
The first time I visited Meriloft in Broken Age: Act 1, it was a wondrous experience. Why was this pretentious man dressed as a bird, and why was his rotund son dressed like a nest? How did this village stay afloat in the clouds? Was H'rmony Lightbeard...
Apesar da boa apresentação, dublagem impecável e direção de arte belíssima, Broken Age Act 2 decepciona. Com uma quantidade exagerada de puzzles, o jogador acaba perdendo tempo revisitando a mesma localização dezenas de vezes. Pra...
