Dead by Daylight executes the concept of a competitive horror game well, but only to a point. As players become more familiar with both roles, the horror dissipates and they begin to play for the competitive element alone. The poor matchmaking and the highly exploitable scoring system make Dead by Daylight less competitive than it should be, resulting in gameplay which doesn't resemble the horror experience it sets out to be.
Our editors hand-pick similar games based on a broad set of criteria: they may be direct competitors targeting the same player base, or they could be games that share similar themes, gameplay mechanics, or artistic styles.
l and Grade – 4 out of 5 AtomsWhile the gameplay itself may seem repetitive in essence, it's the experience as a whole that makes it great. As a person who isn't a fan of horror in general, I absolutely love this game solely on the fun factor alone.Some...
I had been following this game during its initial PC run for the last year by watching popular streamers on both Twitch and Youtube. It was a game that grabbed my interest to a degree by continuing the 4 Vs 1 concept first introduced by the game EVOLVE....

Playing with friends is a hurdle right now, but largely because I want to share these tense moments with people I know. Regardless, I keep feeling the pull back to Dead by Daylight. The seeds of greatness are here, but with plenty of room for refinement and clarity to improve the experience.
Horror in games (and films) is too often characterised by jump scares; shocking, startling events designed to trigger a fight-or-flight response. Dead by Daylight, to its credit, eschews these in favour of real horror--a gradual increase in tension...
Typical: you wait for one asymmetrical multiplayer game which heavily leans on 80s slasher movies for inspiration, and two come along (nearly) at once. Dead by Daylight isn't backed by an official license like Friday the 13th: The Game, but in its best...
It might be short-lived and plagued by lobby issues, but Dead by Daylight is whip-smart, original, exciting and genuinely frightening. It puts you right at the centre of your own slasher movie, then asks you if you’ve got the guts and cunning to slay or survive. Only time will tell whether it can evolve into a long-term hit but, right now, it’s a terrifying new entry on the multiplayer scene.
Dead by Daylight gets a little more complicated when you play as the killer, as you've got four moving targets that you must seek out and destroy. Survivors can be struck twice by the killer before being knocked down. If the killer succeeds in doing...
O game faz grande...
