Corsair's MP700 Pro 2TB SSD flagship performer is outstanding in every way.

It may not be cheap, but it’s pretty much the hyper-car of the storage world right now. If you want your games to load in record time, faster system booting, or even just deal with large file transfers for your workstation, video edition and game development, it really is a huge performance increase, even for those coming from a fast Gen4 drive, the performance upgrade is pretty significant.

Corsair's MP700 PRO offers a step up in speed from the original MP700 and is available with a choice of three cooling options – none, active air and water block – so there is an option for most. But you do have to shell out around 20 quid extra for the two cooler-equipped drives over the standard model.

Corsair's MP700 Pro 2TB is the company's flagship second-generation PCIe 5.0 SSD. It's rated for 12GB/s reads and writes, and you can pick it up with an air cooler or a waterblock for liquid coolers.

The Corsair MP700 Pro is as speedy as it is cool, delivering the fastest read and write speeds you’ll find on an NVMe SSD. However, these specs are best put to use outside of gaming, as the drive performs almost identically to competing PCIe Gen 4 options in games.

It fits well as a gaming SSD, or a professional SSD for workstation workloads thanks to its high endurance. The Air Cooler is impressive, and keeps the SSD cool and quiet, making this an overall great solution for any user.
