Overclocking Performance

Our Sapphire Nitro RX 460 OC 4GB sample maxed out at just 1310MHz, a 9% increase over the stock AMD spec and 5% over Sapphire's factory overclock. The AMD WattMan overclocking utility only allowed the memory to hit 1800MHz for a data rate of 7.2Gbps. In short, overclocking was pretty limited and gains were minimal.

Here we extracted another 7% out of the RX 460 to boost the average frame rate by 2fps in The Division.

This time we see just a 5% increase from our custom overclock which once again resulted in a 2fps boost.

Another almost pointless 2fps boost was seen in Star Wars Battlefront, though this was enough to match the GTX 950.
