Benchmarks: Far Cry 2, Call of Duty 5: World at War

The Asus Extreme NGTX285 TOP was impressive when testing with Far Cry 2, delivering a much needed performance boost over the original at 2560x1600. Here the GTX 285 was 24% faster than the GTX 280 and just 14% slower than the Radeon HD 4870 X2.

Like in Fallout 3, we experienced the same kind of CPU bottleneck in Call of Duty World at War. The bottleneck was not just apparent at 1680x1050, but also at 2560x1600 to a certain extent. This resulted in a mere 2fps performance gain favoring the Asus Extreme NGTX285 TOP over the original GeForce GTX 280 graphics card at 1920x1200 and 2560x1600.
