Overclocking Performance (Part 1)

Overclocking the AMD Phenom II X4 955 went quite smoothly as we were able to reach a stable 3.70GHz overclock using an after-market air cooler (from the stock 3.2GHz).

Because the clock multiplier in the Phenom II X4 955 is unlocked (Black Edition, remember?), it only took a voltage bump to 1.50v to increase the multiplier to hit the final stable 3.70GHz.

This provided decent performance gains in the SiSoftware Sandra 2009 processor arithmetic test, while we were expecting more in WinRAR.
