Benchmarks: PCmark Vantage, SiSoftware 2009
A-DATA's portable drive performed considerably better than the Samsung Spinpoint M80 in the first set of PCmark Vantage results. Although it was also slower than the OCZ Throttle in both the Windows Defender and Windows Vista Startup tests, the margins were not nearly as great as those faced by the Spinpoint M80.
Conversely in the second batch of results, which included Gaming and Video Editing tests, we saw the SH93 and Spinpoint M80 deliver very similar results while OCZ's drive was significantly faster overall.
Finally, we ran the A-DATA SH93 through SiSoftware Sandra 2009 using the physical disks benchmark. The results are not all that surprising as all three USB 2.0 devices delivered very similar performance.
