Overclocking Performance

The Catalyst Control Panel allows for a maximum core frequency of 840MHz using the built-in Overdrive tool. Therefore we installed the latest version of Afterburner which allowed for limitless overclocking. Unfortunately we quickly arrived at a shy maximum stable core frequency of 865MHz, while the memory went as high as 1320MHz (5280MHz DDR).

This 8% overclock allowed for an extra 7fps at 1920x1200 in Call of Duty: Black Ops, 3fps more in Crysis Warhead and 5fps more in Battlefield Bad Company 2.
