Benchmarks: File Copy Performance
The Patriot Supersonic USB 3.0 provided a throughput of 34.3MB/s in our ISO file copy test, making it 31% faster than the Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0, which was 51% faster than the ADATA Nobility Series N005.
The game copy test saw relatively little difference in performance between the three USB 3.0 thumb drives, but Patriot's SuperSonic had an edge over the competition while AData's was the slowest by a 34% margin.
The program file copy test showed some interesting results. When limited to the USB 2.0 bus, the Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 matched the performance of the ADATA Nobility Series N005 at USB 3.0 speeds. With access to the USB 3.0 bus, the DataTraveler outperformed the N005 by 45%.
